Welcome to Taj Mahal Bridport, hosted by Sanjay & Priya Choudhury who have the warmth of a

family tradition, with a passion for blending tradition with contemporary flair.

Taj Mahal has flourished for over four decades. As a proud, family-owned establishment, we are honoured to be an integral part of the Bridport community, and our story is woven with the threads of local love and commitment.

In 1982, our journey began with the dreams and aspirations of Mum and Dad, Rafique and Helen Choudhury.

who moved to Bridport and opened the Taj Mahal in May 1983.

At that time they travelled daily to Bridport from Creakmore Poole.

 

The Taj Mahal was the first Indian Restaurant in Bridport,

and is now the oldest restaurant in the town under the same ownership

Their vision was simple yet profound – To create a dining experience that transcends the ordinary, blending the authentic tastes of India with the charm of a welcoming family atmosphere. Today, as we stand tall with over 40 years of service, Taj Mahal Bridport continues to be a testament to their dedication and passion.
